YOUTH HOUSING PLACEMENTS AVAILABLE (NEW!)

The Reinstate Housing Project is a response to the housing needs of young people 16 + that find themselves living in transience, homelessness, couch surfing or in need of a semi independent supported living placement.

The people who set it up will take referrals from counsellors and social workers if you’re between 16 and 18 years old and the situation applies to you-so if you’re stuck in that situation get someone like that to check it out for you.

What is provided:

  • Medium to long term boarding placement includes phone, power, internet, meals
  • Weekly life skills group work service
  • Weekly mentoring engagement
  • Intensive intervention case management

Cost: a boarding cost of $165.00 per week. This can be covered by the Independent Youth Benefit.

Referral Process: Your counsellor or social worker has to fill in a form and send it to the Reinstate trust based in Christchurch, and they get back to whoever does the referral and then there’s an interview to decide if this would suit
